We recently stayed at Southern Comfort, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The unit was clean and conveniently located, with a comfy bed and a nicely designed kitchen and lounge area. One of the highlights for our family was having a separate bedroom-this allowed for a quiet space while my husband stayed up late watching TV. We did encounter a few downsides. The steep stairs were a challenge, especially for my tall husband in the cramped shower. We also had noise disturbances from a nearby unit that played music late into the night. To top it off, workmen were already getting a head start before 8 am on Sunday morning. On the bright side, there are plenty of outdoor activities nearby, as we enjoyed family time at Hagley Park and even caught a glimpse of skydivers overhead. Parking was easy, and we loved being close to public transport. Southern Comfort offers a solid base for outdoor adventures with a few areas for improvement.
